Disney+ secara rasminya telah mengarahkan penghasilan siri adaptasi berdasarkan koleksi buku Percy Jackson and the Olympians hasil karya terkenal Rick Riordan. Walau bagaimanapun, masih belum ada pengumuman senarai pelakon yang akan tampil dalam siri baharu itu nanti.
Sinopsis siri adaptasi Percy Jackson tersebut adalah sama dengan jalan cerita dalam buku pertama siri itu, bertajuk Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Sinopsisnya adalah seperti berikut :
“The live-action series tells the fantastical story of the titular 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus”.

Thanks to our friends at Disney Branded Television led by Ayo, and Disney Streaming led by Michael [Paull], this will be an adaptation for the ages, with all the excitement, action and mythology fans of the books expect and love”.
Siri buku Percy Jackson termasuklah The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth, dan The Last Olympian. Sebuah buku iringan, bertajuk The Demigod Files, dan koleksi cerpen iaitu The Demigod Diaries turut diterbitkan oleh Riordan.
Untuk rekod, The Lightning Thief dan Sea of Monsters telah dihasilkan dalam bentul filem sebelum ini, menampilkan Logan Lerman sebagai Percy Jackon. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief ditayangkan pada 2010, manakala Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters ditayangkan pada 2013.
