BERKAITAN: Batman Dan Robin Versi DC Universe Akan Diperkenalkan Dalam Filem The Brave and the Bold
Warner Bros. baharu sahaja mengumumkan yang pengarah berkenaan akan mengarahkan filem terbaharu di bawah payung DC Universe, iaitu The Brave and the Bold.
CEO bersama DC Studios, James Gunn dan Peter Safran menjelaskan bahawa pemilihan Andy Muschietti adalah keputusan yang `paling mudah´ untuk dibuat. Menurut mereka;
We saw The Flash even before taking the reins at DC Studios, and knew we were in the hands of only a visionary director, but a massive DC fan. It’s a magnificent film — funny, emotional, thrilling — and Andy’s affinity and passion for these characters and this world just resonates through every frame. So when it came time to find a director for The Brave and the Bold, there was really only one choice. Luckily, Andy said ‘yes,’ Barbara signed on to produce with us and were on our way. They’re an extraordinary team, and we couldn’t have better or more inspiring partners as we embark on this thrilling new adventure in the DCU.

Buat masa ini, masih belum ada pengumuman barisan pelakon yang terpilih untuk filem The Brave and the Bold. Walau bagaimanapun, James Gunn telah mengesahkan yang watak Batman dalam filem itu tidak akan dilakonkan samada oleh Ben Affleck mahupun Robert Pattinson.
Pengumuman ini menandakan filem ketiga di bawah naungan DC Universe (DCU) yang telah punyai pengarah. Sebelum ini, pengarah yang telah diumumkan adalah James Gunn sendiri (mengarahkan filem Superman: Legacy), manakala and James Mangold akan mengarahkan filem Swamp Thing.
